Stone Bridge Trail 

The Stone Bridge Trail was built on an old rail bed in the 1850s and extends 5.8 miles long. It provides a crushed limestone pathway through the rural countryside. One of the highlights of this trail is passing over the Stone Bridge, which overlooks the scenic South Kinnikinnick Creek. The double-arch stone bridge was built in 1882 and is considered a historic site. 

Rock Cut State Park 

Rock Cut State Park is one of Northern Illinois’ largest state parks. It offers activities such as camping, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, horse and bike trails, cross country ski trails, ice skating and so much more. Olson lake is a popular attraction among swimmers and beachgoers, where you can play volleyball, launch your own boat or have a picnic. 

The park is home to an abundance of wildlife and plants species and contains one of the largest remaining grassland and wildflower prairies. There is so much to see and do at Rock Cut State Park.
